Yoga can really help support the long term health risks of menopause and perimenopause. With the ever changing hormones, many women can experience loss of bone density and muscle wastage. Yoga can really help by increasing bone density and muscle strength. Improving balance and flexibility can help to prevent bone fractures often caused by trips, slips or falls. During menopause; sleep issues can become a real challenge - a regular yoga practice can help to improve sleep by creating more inner calm and mental balance. Improvement with digestion, weight management and mental wellness are also essential added benefits when you are able to enjoy a regular yoga practice, with others ‘who get you’! By coming together and practicing each week, in a welcoming, safe space; at Yoga Tree Leeds, the community connections and conversations can truly serve as a reminder that you are not alone and can help you feel more supported during your unique journey. Each week we will explore yoga poses to support through the perimenopause and menopause from regulating the nervous system, to strengthening the core and promote positive mental wellness!
